  • Hi, I'm Tawny. I discovered yoga in 2006 while seeking a practice that would allow me to befriend my body and calm my anxious mind. At the time, I struggled to manage the stress of completing my Master's degree.

    My first yoga class was transformative and eventually changed the trajectory of my life. Since then, yoga has been a refuge, a gradual letting go of self-judgment, and a slow softening into self-acceptance, compassion, and kindness. My love for yoga eventually led me to train in mindfulness and sound healing, which have become integral parts of my daily practice.

  • I have been teaching group classes for over 11 years, specialising in restorative yoga, mindfulness, and sound healing. My journey into sound healing began when I attended a women's health yoga workshop that included a sound bath at the end. The experience was incredibly healing and sparked my interest in learning more about sound healing. Eventually, I trained with crystal bowls and began incorporating sound healing into my classes.

    My personal experience with anxiety inspired me to seek out practices like breathwork, restorative yoga, and mindfulness to support my own well-being and bring me back into balance. As a teacher, I aim to inspire others to find and implement practical tools to support their well-being and self-care.

  • Grounding Inclusive Calming

    My classes are designed to create a supportive and inclusive environment for all bodies and experience levels. I believe that yoga is for everybody, and I aim to make my classes accessible to all. I specialise in restorative yoga, which uses props to fully support the body and allow for a gradual downshift of the nervous system into a state of deep relaxation.

    In addition to restorative postures, my classes also incorporate breathwork and crystal bowl sound healing to nourish the mind, body, and spirit. I have a special interest in mindfulness for stress, sleep hygiene, and rest, and I strive to inspire and give my clients tools to support their own self-care. Ultimately, my goal is for my clients to leave class feeling replenished and restored.
